It's that awful time in the year again - called EXAMS!
Now, as a future psychologist (ha ha, who am I kidding?) and a good blogger I probably should've written here some kind of a guide of how to get through exams and stress out less. BUT NO, I do not know anything about that at all :P. The only thing I can teach you is how to procrastinate, because I am THE QUEEN of procrastination! Hopefully you will get some kind of lesson from this post, and will end up studying :D
Let's begin!
(Sorry if I'm trying to be funny, it's not really working in the text form. I just watched too much of Jack Howard, so here it goes... Sorry Jack!) This actually leads to the first thing,
YOUTUBE (dun dun duunnn)
Oh the joy of Youtube. Honestly I can spend HOURS watching videos, especially when I have favourite youtubers. And I choose right that day, when I have to study for an exam (which is usually the next day) to watch not one or two, but EVERY SINGLE VIDEO THEY EVER MADE! Just remember, Youtube is a trap! Run from it! (at least during your exams, other time of the year it's a perfect place :P)
FOOD (nom nom nom :))
Ahhh, doesn't food just tastes better when you have to study? It's like calling you from the kitchen (that would've been really weird) and smells 1000x better than usual so you HAVE to go eat it!
Oooh, I also have a great excuse for getting food - I am always hungry when studying. Food and studying go side by side, but usually food wins. Yes I can eat while studying, but come on, don't you need a break (you tell yourself)?! And again you end end up on Youtube, because you were "just getting a little break while eating"!
TWITTER
Of course your favourite band will announce the tour in your city on the day you're studying or writing an essay! Of course your favourite actor (or musician) replies to you or has a Q&A that day!! No, it actually never happens but WHAT IF IT DOES??? That's why you just HAVE to check twitter every 5 minutes. And the day goes by, you haven't read or written anything that you actually had to (not tweets), BUT instead you know that your friend's dog died and that your favourite actor can't fall asleep because of the jet lag.
WASHROOM
Isn't it just the greatest excuse from studying?? You can't just pee or poop your pants, so you have to go there. And if your parents are like, "where are you going? Why you're not studying?" you just say that you have to go to the washroom and voila, you're free from studying for the next 10-20 minutes :) First you do your stuff there, then you wash your hands, and no you have to wash them for 5 minutes (when usually you don't even take a minute), because BACTERIA ARE EVERYWHERE!!! The you need to get your nails done, because one just might break, then you paint them, and oooh now they need to dry! The magic of washroom :D
There are probably other great things of distraction out there that I just don't remember, but here are the main ones, and as long as you stay away from them (but just don't pee your pants, do go to the washroom now and then) YOU WILL GET THE WORK DONE!! I promise :)
Hopefully this post was helpful or at least fun, and hopefully some of you will recognize yourselves in some things that you do, and HOPEFULLY you will try to stay away from them, because you really do have to study!!
Don't make same mistakes I (do) did and GOOD LUCK on exams!!
Xxxx
P.S. You might have noticed a new style of writing in this post :) well, I'm just experimenting with different styles and way to present different topics. Hope you enjoyed it and it wasn't too lame :D
